Natural Resources Inventory (NRI)
January 2022.
The NRI compiles and describes important, naturally occurring resources within the Town of Hyde Park. Cultural resources, such as historic, scenic, and recreational resources, are included as well. The inventory has two basic purposes: 1) to provide the building blocks for comprehensive land-use and conservation planning, and 2) to allow natural resource information to be included in local planning and zoning. Community Resilience Building Workshop, Summary of Findings
October 2021.
This is a summary report from the workshop held to start planning to mitigate the risks of climate chage. The workshop was jointly held with the Town of Hyde Park and the City of Poughkeepsie.
This report lists the top hazards,
community strengths and concerns, and suggested actions to improve resilience to natural
and climate-related hazards in the communities today and in the future.
